[Rfdump] RFDump basics

Hey Lukas,

I got the ACG RFID card as supported by RFDump.

For hardware I bought a Sharp Zaurus Handhelp with a builtin CF reader.
The Zaurus runs linux currently.. However, I'm installing debian on a SD
card so I can use normal desktop packages. ( Perl, so on)

Once I get all of this working I need to then start playing with RFDump on
it. Probably begin with the shell script for basic tag auditing.

How does the script communicate with the device ? /Dev/ttyS1 for example.
Is see that baud settings so on need to be set.. so is this like using
hyperterminal to communicate with Cisco equipment over serial?

For instance, should I be able to install the device on my linux handheld
and run the script ( after I get perl installed ??)

The problem for me is that I can't find any documentation on the ACG card to
figure out how it works with linux so on-- how to communicate with it, test
it.. etc..

Who did you overcome this? Did you get specs/docs from ACG?

Cheers,

JP
